NEW JOB

God answered my prayers last week, and I was offered two jobs on Thursday! Can you believe it?!?! I chose the one I felt would give me more opportunities and had better pay and hours. I am happy to say that I am a receptionist for a Dentist Office in DC! Today was Day 3 and I am loving it!

I take the metro to and from and love it. The office is in a beautiful building on the 10th floor and it's by a park and several fun restaurants, coffee shops, a bakery, etc. I also really like the Dental Team I am working with. The other receptionist is super cool and is being very sweet helping me understand everything. I have never worked in a Dentist Office before and there is a lot to take in during the first week.

I am thankful that I only work Mon-Thurs because once I find an awesome DC apartment and get settled, I will then do theater work on the side to build up my resume! It's a brilliant plan! (At least I hope).

I am happy to report that God is good (as always) and I am blessed! I continue to pray for all those still umemployed...God may you find a job for each person's specific talents.
P.S. Don't forget to BRUSH! :)

Let's Get Ready to Rumble...

I am ready to make this my new home...but in order to turn this simple DC picture into a reality I need a JOB! Ok, enough is enough. It's time to pull out the the big guns. I have searched the internet, responded to postings, searched job sites, and am driving myself crazy.

Yet, I am still determined.

As a former professor reminded me in an email - I have to be "relentless"... I can do that.

It's time to put on my big girls pants and march into places and say "hire me." Or, well, at least offer them my resume.

Ideally, I would love to work for:

These are just to name a few of the many wonderful theaters in the Washington DC area. I am very much looking forward to seeing shows and working in the business.

Alright... (deep breath) ... Watch Out DC, Here I come!
